Yangon Swan: Arts, Food & Culture
Art: The art scene in Yangon is infused with new vigor, and even art with a political bent is emerging. The old masters are here of course, the classic galleries and the modern and the underground scene struggling to be seen. You’ll see some very interesting work; and some very unique talent in the most interesting of places.
Food: An excellent half-day culinary course from a top chef is yours for the asking; otherwise the focus on food is eating it! From the best street food curries to unique local eateries serving melt-in-your mouth mutton to fine Burmese and international cuisine, you’ll get to taste it all.
Culture: That Yangon is a city in transition is an understatement. The recent democratic reforms have unleashed the natural verve of the Burmese, and the optimism on the street is palpable. To describe such a diverse and historic city in the throes of a renaissance in a few words would be a great disservice, so we won’t. For sample itinerary click the Itinerary tab above.
